Born in Montreal Quebec, Elizabeth Evans graduated from the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts where she studied and was mentored by Arthur Lismer, a founder of Canada's 'Group of Seven' She was awarded a Senior Certificate in Painting from the University of Alberta and studied at the Banff School of Fine Arts as a full scholarship student.
